The Council of Ministers today approved Ethiopia’s membership to the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement

The Council of Ministers today approved Ethiopia’s membership to the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement. The #AfCTA—one of the biggest trade agreement since the creation of the WTO—attempts to create a single market in Africa. The decision is consistent with PM Abiy Ahmed’s vision of creating a closer and full regional integration in Africa—where minds are open to ideas and markets are open to trade. Ethiopia’s decision and track record of advocating Pan African causes will effectively bring the vision of an integrated Africa closer to a reality.
